Comprehensive study questions for each of the book’s eight chapters have been added to the documents page. Along with short- and long-answer questions on content, each set features questions regarding the maps, plates, and terms introduced in each chapter.

Broadview is thrilled to announce the publication of Barbara Rosenwein’s new edited collection Reading the Middle Ages: Sources from Europe, Byzantium, and the Islamic World. Spanning from c.300 to c.1500, this invaluable complement to A Short History Of the Middle Ages incorporates, in a systematic fashion, Islamic and Byzantine materials alongside Western readings, thereby facilitating comparisons within and between cultures. On the documents page you will be able to browse and search study questions, key events, maps and genealogies for each chapter. You can resize the window in which you see things by using the sliding scale on the bottom left, and change the focus by manipulating the square in "Navigate document." Students and professors who wish to use maps and genealogies for personal and classroom use may feel free to download them. Clicking on the study questions for a particular chapter will open a new window in your browser.
